I know, I know
After almost a year of yammering on and on about how W2 life + a side hustle is the dream I abandoned my principles and went all in on my business.
Sue me 🤷🏻♀️
Actually please don’t. I’m not successful enough or mentally stable enough to handle a lawsuit yet.
But yea, I quit the day job because after 2 years of scaling a side hustle it became really clear that the only way to keep growing it was to go all in.
So this newsletter is rebranding from the whole “how to keep your side hustle on the side” to “watch me try to build a business from $0 to $1M over the next 18 months.”
Can I do it? Well idk, we have to check back in July 2027 but I’m sure as hell gonna try and I’m definitely going to document the wins, the L’s and the learnings along the way.
This is the format you can expect from here on out ⬇️
Trendspotter
After the intro/progress update I am committed to sharing a trend or observation around LinkedIn, personal brand and content strategy. For those looking to build their audience and inbound engine on social, this section is for you.
Plus my whole business is centered around these subjects so I am like… weird into it.
I’ll do all the manic testing and research so you don’t have to. ✌🏼
L of the week
I don’t just want to show you the sizzle reel, I want to show you the real-real. So I am committed to sharing a personal or professional failure + learning from the previous week, every week, until I die or inevitably rebrand this newsletter (again).
The goal is two-fold:
Help you skip a painful lesson because you can learn from my mistakes
Make you feel less alone because I am incredibly human and mess up all the time
I think this section will be my favorite (or the worst… time will tell).
Steal this framework
I am a big believer in sharing actionable sh*t. So this section will be reserved for post templates, tips, frameworks, playbooks and anything quick and actionable enough to implement RIGHT NOW.
Mostly around LinkedIn, sometimes around social selling, occasionally about personal productivity.
Why those things? Idk. It’s my newsletter and that’s what I want to share with people.
So what’s next?
This will just be a sentence or two about what you can expect from me in the next one. I’ll just be sharing whatever I am learning in real-time so it’s going to be as straightforward or insane as my life/business is that week.
**
If you’re disappointed I no longer wave the Don’t Quit Your Day Job flag, I get it. Totally respect an “unsubscribe” and there will be no hard feelings.
But if you’re building something, or thinking about building something, or just want to watch me try and fail and try again to build something, I hope you stick around. This could be really fun.
See you in the next one:)
