I can’t decide if I want to get off or go again.
This last week was actually insane. A deal I thought was a slam dunk ghosted me on our follow up. A client who I was sure wouldn’t be a fit? One call close.
A past client who still owes me money, refusing to pay and a new potential deal 2x the size of anything I have done before came my way via referral.
What is happening!? I think the biggest thing I am learning is that operations and organization are essential for scale. They’re also my weakest point. So I have invested in a business coach and they’re helping me dial in my systems and standardize alllllll my sh*t.
As of this update we are at 22% of my annual goal which feels pretty good considering it’s only February, but I wont lie. Running a business feels so much scarier than having a consistent paycheck so I do find myself stressing about $$ more often even though I am making more.
The rollercoaster is a bit scary but I am also having fun so I think I’ll stick with it:)
TRENDSPOTTER
The people want pictures
8/10 highest engagement posts I saw this week were MULTI-image posts.
No, NOT a carousel. Like dropping 4-5 pictures from an event. Or telling the story of your week in the life through images.
This is interesting for 2 reasons. These posts HAVE to be organic, they cannot be boosted as LinkedIn doesn’t support that ad format.
My gut tells me it has more to do with the audience’s appetite for parasocial content. They want to see into your life. They want to know you’re a REAL human they’re engaging with.
So instead of a single image or carousel, maybe try dropping 4-5 photos from the week and tell a story about a win, lesson or practical tip that someone in your audience could learn from.
L OF THE WEEK
Get a d:)mn CRM
Guys, I have been managing my pipeline in Notion, Notes + a Google Doc tape + glued together with a G-Sheet the past 2 months and this is NOT the move.
Not only do I have zero clue what my actual $$ pipeline is, I am certain I have lost a deal entirely. Like cannot remember who it was or where it was.
I just have this gut feeling like I spoke to a founder who wasn’t ready just yet and wanted me to follow up end of March, but I do not remember the name of their company and cannot find the call.
This is 100% on me and 100% avoidable. So next week’s mission, build a stupid simple CRM to track deal flow, follow ups and pipeline.
Don’t be like me – do your admin work.
STEAL THIS FRAMEWORK
Intros + Origin Stories are poppin'
I’ve seen this work on IG, TikTok and now LinkedIn.
It’s time to reintroduce yourself.
I’ve seen dozens of posts use this framework, so I am doing my best to templatize it here:
“I am {age}. I live in {place}. I {insert role at company or business you run}.
And I am currently {thing you’re working on or goal you’re pushing toward}
I started my career in {role} and then I moved into {next role}.
Flash forward to today and I am {main responsibility of your job or focus of your company}.
If you’re someone who is {name of audience member} or {another type of audience member} and you’re interested in learning about:
Thing you talk about
Thing you talk about
Thing you talk about
Follow along. Its my goal to help as many {type of person} {achieve X goal} as possible in 2026.”
Include a photo of you and hit post.
Send me an email with the link to yours if you try it. I’ll swing by and show you some love!
Catch ya next week,
